Wellington Middle School 8th Graders will attend their end of the year continuation ceremony at Poudre High School Auditorium from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Please be aware that there are other events at PHS on this night: follow the signs to the Wellington event in the auditorium. NOTE: seating is NOT unlimited so please be aware!
WMS 8th graders will NOT attend school on Thursday, May 30, 2019. This day is reserved for transition to next year at our school. Thank you!
Each year, Wellington Middle School teachers nominate one 8th grader to be named Masonic Outstanding 8th Grader for the year. This student is honored at an event where outstanding 5th, 8th and 12th graders are recognized by the community. Stay tuned for nominees and announcement of the winner this year!

Watch. The Colorado Association of Middle Level Education congratulates Wellington for continuing its trajectory of
success over the course of 9 years.
It is an honor and privilege to recognize Luke McDonald as the Masonic Outstanding 8th grader for Wellington Middle School. Luke exemplifies Wellington’s motto of Achievement, Commitment and Community. Luke makes a daily commitment to WMS through his leadership as a WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) leader, a four-sport athlete (football, basketball, wrestling, and track) and his focus on academics in the classroom. Wellington Middle School was just named an AVID Site of DIstinction for 2017-2018, which is the second time we have earned this recognition. An AVID Site of Distinction is an AVID school that is recognized as the top 1% of AVID schools in the nation, according to AVID.org. These schools demonstrate that AVID strategies are schoolwide and not just housed only in the AVID elective. "An AVID Schoolwide Site of Distinction represents the highest level of AVID implementation fidelity demonstrating excellence in instructional practice and the promotion of college readiness schoolwide.
It's almost Turkey Round Up time! The WMS Turkey Round Up, donations of turkeys for the Wellington Food Bank, is Thursday, November 16, 2017, 7:00-8:00 a.m. Just bring your frozen turkey to the flagpole to donate to our turkey wrangler and your student will earn the coveted, "Turkey Round Up," locker sticker!
