Luke McDonald Chosen Outstanding 8th Grader at WMS

It is an honor and privilege to recognize Luke McDonald as the Masonic Outstanding 8th grader for Wellington Middle School.  Luke exemplifies Wellington’s motto of Achievement, Commitment and Community.  Luke makes a daily commitment to WMS through his leadership as a WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) leader, a four-sport athlete (football, basketball, wrestling, and track) and his focus on academics in the classroom.  Luke was a 4.0 student the first semester of 8th grade and is working hard to maintain this grade point average for second semester.  With regard to community service, Luke has worked with our other 8th grade WEB leaders to provide mentorship for current 6th grade students as well as philanthropic work through the “Give Next” Foundation and working with Alliance, an organization for suicide prevention.  Luke is truly an outstanding 8th grader at Wellington Middle School and we are proud to nominate him for this award. Luke and the teacher he chose to join him in this honor, Mr. Jackson, will be recognized at the Fort Collins Masonic Outstanding Student Ceremony on April 19, 2018 at the Masonic Temple.  Congrats Luke!
