Mission of Visual Arts at WMS

Our goal in the Visual Art program at Wellington Middle School is to foster creativity through choice-based curriculum. Not only do we focus on the final product, but emphasize the creative process that provides 21st Century Skills. Though not all students will become artists, they will develop skills like critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and many other skills that will benefit them.

During the 2020-2021 school year, we have adjusted our courses and sequencing to best meet the needs of the phases of learning we are in. Depending on the phase, we may not be able to engage in all the grade level topics but we will do our best to give students an opportunity to engage in a variety of grade level topics below:
